Another production well for Belorusneft in Western Siberia
09.09.2014
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft now operates another production well in Western Siberia. The well produced oil flow to surface several days ago with the daily output of 100 tonnes after an offshoot was drilled at well No. 123s2 in the oil field Osenneye of OAO Oil Company Yangpur, the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA.
The well was drilled as part of Belorusneft’s design document for the development of the oil field Osenneye. The well was drilled 3,548m below the surface into a previously undeveloped part of the oil field.
Before the new borehole was drilled, oil well No. 823 in the oil field Osenneye was deepened and converted to production mode. The oil flow to the surface amounted to 50 tonnes per day and confirmed the expected oil availability in the area.
After that the crew moved on to well No. 123. The well had been commissioned earlier but due to water influx the previous owner had stopped oil extraction. Using modern technologies, the Belarusian oil workers revived the well, opened a new productive geologic horizon, and secured a considerable pure oil flow to the surface.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft acquired Russian OAO Oil Company Yangpur via an auction in September 2013. The Russian company had three oil deposits and one gas condensate deposit in development, with the number of wells at 44. Yangpur’s acquisition was part of the program to develop Belorusneft’s operation in Russia.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
