Scientific and technological capabilities in environment protection will be discussed in St. Petersburg on June 27 as part of the International Industry Forum ATOMEXPO 2013, BelTA learnt from the Communications Department of the Rosatom state corporation.
The roundtable “Environment Protection: Scientific and Technological Capabilities and Prospects" will discuss the elements of a strategy for building public acceptance of nuclear energy and make recommendations in environmental development. The discussion will be attended by representatives of Russian and foreign companies engaged in the nuclear industry, government and environmental organizations, including from Belarus.
The symposium "Topical Issues of International Nuclear Law: Legal International Framework of Nuclear Energy in the 21st Century" will discuss topical issues in the field of nuclear safety, emergency preparedness and response, civil liability for nuclear damage.
The International Industry Forum ATOMEXPO 2013 will take place in the run-up to the International Ministerial Conference “Nuclear Power in the 21st Century” to be held by the IAEA in St. Petersburg.
