Belarus’ approaches to energy security presented at CEI Foreign Ministers meeting

Energy security issues were in the focus of attention at the annual meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Central European Initiative (CEI) which took place in Vienna on 3 June, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus to Austria.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yelena Kupchina. At the plenary session of the forum the Belarusian official presented national approaches to the issues on the agenda.
Yelena Kupchina held bilateral meetings with heads of national delegations of a number of countries.
The forum focused on the main cooperation areas within the Central European Initiative taking into account of the roadmap on the Organization’s development in 2014-2016. Special attention was attached to the issues of energy security of the participating countries and CEI cooperation with other international organizations.
