Belarus-Russia consultations on intended oil deliveries predicted to be smooth

10.06.2015
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov does not think there will be any “oil problems" between Russia and Belarus. The diplomat made the statement as he talked to media on 10 June, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus and Russia are now engaged in the consultations on intended oil deliveries. I think the outcome of the consultations will be reasonable. When these are serious partners they always come to an agreement: be it business or government bodies. There will be no “oil problems” between the two countries,” said Alexander Surikov.

In accordance with the indicative plans for the delivery of fuel and energy resources in 2015 Belarus is expected to get 23 million tonnes of oil, including 22 million tonnes via pipelines. In turn, Belarus is expected to supply 1.8 million tonnes of gasoline to Russia.
