Belarus-Russia cooperation in electric power industry discussed

The development of Belarus-Russia cooperation in electric power industry was discussed during the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Yevgeny Dod, Chairman of the Board, Director General of the Russian company OAO RusHydro, in Moscow on 23 June, the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia told BelTA.

According to the source, the sides discussed prospects of advancing cooperation in the sphere of electric power industry, including the use of the scientific, technical, and industrial potential of the sides for the sake of implementing investment projects.

Igor Petrishenko and Yevgeny Dod mentioned there was interest in stepping up interaction, including mutual supplies of energy equipment and other goods, the fulfillment of construction, installation, tuning, design and technical services.

OAO RusHydro operates over 70 renewable energy facilities in various regions of Russia. The company is also busy building a number of hydropower plants in Russia.
