Belarus, Slovenia to sign joint declaration on peaceful use of nuclear energy

Belarus and Slovenia will sign a joint declaration on the peaceful use of nuclear energy, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 24 September, BelTA has learned.

The document will be signed after the 5th session of the Belarusian-Slovenian commission for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation which will take place in Minsk on 28-29 September. The Belarusian-Slovenian business forum will be held in the same period.

During these events the sides will discuss cooperation in trade and investment, the manufacturing and energy sectors, transport, agriculture, the efforts to bolster contacts between the business circles of the two countries.

Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna is the co-chair of the commission on Belarus’ behalf, Director General for Economic Diplomacy at the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Stanislav Rascan – on Slovenia’s behalf.
