Belarus suggests joint energy projects to Germany in Great Stone Park

Belarus suggests Germany the implementation of joint energy projects in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, Ruslan Yesin, the deputy director of the department for foreign economic activity at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at the Belarusian-German Energy Forum on 25 November, BelTA has learned.

“Belarusian scientists and experts may share with German counterparts their achievements in the sphere of bio, hydro, wind and solar energy, the introduction of heat pumps and also offer projects for joint implementation, including in the Great Stone Industrial Park,” noted Ruslan Yesin.

In his words, energy cooperation is an important area in the Belarusian-German relations. “Thanks to the initiative and efficient cooperation of the Energy Ministry of Belarus with German partners, the program of today’s forum will promote the discussion of current issues, including the attraction of innovative European technologies and investment in the energy sector of Belarus,” he added. In particular, Belarus is interested in research and experimental projects in green technologies, construction of energy efficient homes.

The Belarusian-German forum gathered over 200 energy experts in Minsk on 25 November. The event will include panel discussions to exchange experience in the area of energy systems and renewable energy resources, as well as energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in buildings. The participants of the event are expected to visit a number of facilities.

The Belarusian-German Energy Forum is organized by the representation of the German economy in Belarus under the auspices of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany. Among the partners of the forum is the Belarus Energy Ministry, the Energy Efficiency Department of the State Committee for Standardization and the German Energy Agency.
