Belarus to greatly reduce oil export duties to match Russia's

As from 1 January Belarus will considerably reduce export duties on oil and oil products, which are exported beyond the Customs Union, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA. The relevant decision is laid down by the Belarus government's executive order.

The export duty on crude oil will drop from $277.5 to $170.2 per tonne. The export duty on straight-run gasoline and commercial gasoline will be $144.6 and $132.7 per tonne respectively (down from $249.7 per tonne). The export duty on light and medium distillates will be $81.6 per tonne (down from $183.1 per tonne). The same export duty will be applied to benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duty on diesel fuel will drop from $180.3 to $81.6 per tonne. The export duty on liquefied hydrocarbon gases will be reduced from $124.8 to $48 per tonne.

The previous reduction of the rates of the export duties on crude oil and certain oil derivatives took place on 1 December.

The specified rates of export duties will match those in Russia.
