MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – Belarus and the United Arab Emirates intend to advance cooperation in the sphere of communications and informatization. The possibilities were discussed as Belarusian Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh, BelTA has learned.
Konstantin Shulgan and Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation, including matters concerning digitization, the development of artificial intelligence technologies, protection of information systems taking into account modern challenges and threats. An agreement was reached on considering the possibility of signing a bilateral document on cooperation in the sphere of communications and informatization.
Konstantin Shulgan invited the head of the UAE diplomatic mission in Belarus and interested UAE companies to visit the 30th international forum on information and communications technologies TIBO 2024, which is due in Minsk on 5-8 June.
