Belarus will become more competitive after the launch of its own nuclear power plant, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said when speaking at the 5th Belarusian People’s Congress, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko touched upon the topic of safety and unjustified criticism in connection with the construction of the nuclear power plant. “I reiterate once again: the authorized international organizations (IAEA) do not have any complaints toward Belarus in part of compliance with all the standards and requirements,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.
“This is fierce competition. Once the nuclear power plant comes on stream, we will make a huge leap forward, and, naturally, we will become more competitive. Hence is the criticism and complaints. People should know this. We know this, and we will not give up. We will implement all the projects we have planned,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
