Belarusian constructors to build hydropower plants in Kyrgyzstan

Belarusian builders will participate in the construction of hydropower plants in Kyrgyzstan. The relevant agreement was reached at the meeting between Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and his Kyrgyz counterpart Djoomart Otorbaev. The meeting was held prior to the CIS Heads of Government Council which is due in Minsk on 30 May, BelTA has learned.

The Premiers also talked over the supplies of Belarusian equipment under leasing agreements.

The Prime Ministers discussed a wide range of issues regarding bilateral cooperation. The two heads of government also considered joint projects. According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, there are a lot of them being implemented by the two countries. “I think that we should first of all talk about infrastructure projects that can generate new projects,” he stressed.

On 29 May in Astana Kyrgyzstan voiced its intention to join the Eurasian Economic Union. The two Premiers discussed the issue as well.
