Belarusian Energy Ministry enterprises to step up export diversification in 2015

In 2015 enterprises run by the Belarusian Energy Ministry will step up efforts to diversify the targeted markets for exported services, the press service of the Ministry told BelTA.
According to the source, the senior administrators of the Energy Ministry have given the relevant instructions. Close attention was drawn to the projects that may be implemented in countries of the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Presentations of the capabilities of the enterprises and organizations run by the Energy Ministry and proposals for cooperation in power engineering have been sent to the relevant diplomatic missions of Belarus. Apart from that, the Ministry enables the economically advisable participation of Belarusian energy industry companies in international expos. Participation in the expos also helps establish contacts for the sake of increasing the export of merchandise and services, representatives of the Energy Ministry were convinced.
According to the Energy Ministry, in 2014 Belarusian energy companies provided $203.1 million worth of services abroad, 17% up from 2013. This year enterprises run by the Energy Ministry will have to increase their export of services by 9.5-10%.
