Belarusian nuclear power plant holds Day of Youth

The Day of Youth was held at the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP) on 1 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.

The plant was visited by second-, third-, and fourth-year students of the Minsk State Energy College majoring in automation and control of heat and power processes, management of electric power plants and heat power plants, and industrial and civil engineering. Partaking in the campaign also were college professors, representatives of the Belarusian Energy Ministry, the national electrical company Belenergo, and the newspaper Power Engineering in Belarus.

The press service said that the event was aimed at introducing the future specialists to the Belarusian nuclear power industry and one of the largest innovative projects, the Belarusian nuclear power plant.

The students visited Ostrovets, the future town of nuclear workers, and had a tour of the BelNPP information center. Besides, they got acquainted with the personnel training center of the plant. The program of the visit also included a tour of the BelNPP construction site.
