MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) - About 20 innovations will be presented by the Belarusian State University (BSU) at the international exhibition Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro (Energy Expo) which is to take place as part of the Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum in Minsk on 17-20 October, BelTA learned from the BSU press service.
The Belarusian State University will showcase a multi-channel system for monitoring the radiation situation at large radiation-hazardous or radiation-sensitive facilities and territories.
“The system has been installed along the perimeter of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, as well as along the route towards the Smolensk, Chernobyl and Ignalina NPPs. The system records changes in the radiation background in the designated areas and promptly transfers information to the National Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring,” the press service of the university said.
The university's innovations also include light-absorbing composite materials based on transition metal oxides, radar-absorbing materials, electromagnetic wave absorber TORA, multifunctional measuring complex Alma Meter-2, and ultrasonic gas meters.
Samples, thematic posters and presentations will get visitors to the exhibition familiar with the innovations of the Belarusian State University, their competitive advantages, and technical characteristics.
