Belorusneft, foreign partners to implement geophysical surveying project in South America

The industrial group Belorusneft jointly with the state oil company Petroamazonas E.P. (Ecuador) and ENAP (Chile) will implement an integrated geophysical surveying project in South America, the Belorusneft press service told BelTA.

This is envisaged in a tripartite agreement on setting up an alliance of companies on joint exploration and development of oil block 28 in the southwest of the continent. The document was signed by representatives of the three oil companies in Ecuador.

During the talks, the project partners have set out the model and forms of interaction, the main legal, financial and industrial aspects of cooperation. The parties also identified short-term objectives, agreed on the launch of the joint team of technical experts to develop a plan of geological exploration.

The industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. It is part of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim. The company specializes in surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction.
