Belorusneft to carry out hydrocracking operations in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai
30.11.2015
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft will carry out 22 hydrocracking operations at hydrocarbon deposits in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai in December, the company’s press service told BelTA.
The company’s well technology and services division has won the tender and has signed the contract for fulfilling hydrocracking operations for RN-Krasnodarneftegaz, a daughter enterprise of the Russian oil company OAO Rosneft. It will be the first time the Belarusian company will offer this service to the Russian company.
In accordance with the contract the Belarusian company has relocated a number of hydrocracking and acid fracturing systems to Krasnodar Krai. Several well operations have already been carried out in the area using this equipment.
In late October 2015 the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) recognized Belorusneft as the best hydrocracking company in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The hydraulic fracturing technology represents an effective way to revive depleted wells. The technology is used to create cracks deep inside the well. After that oil leaks from the cracks towards the main borehole. The technology allows increasing oil recovery by 7-15%.
Belorusneft teams have worked or continue working in oil fields of Western Siberia and the Far North, in Kaliningrad Oblast, Stavropol Krai, in the Volga River region, and other areas of Russia where oil is extracted.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
