Belorusneft wins Lukoil Komi's hydraulic fracturing tender

The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft has won a tender to perform hydraulic fracturing operations for OOO Lukoil Komi, Belorusneft's press service told BelTA.
It will be the first time when specialists of the Belarusian company will work with Lukoil Komi. The Belarusian company will have to perform 15 hydraulic fracturing operations at five exploration wells (three operations per each) in an oil field in Russia's Republic of Komi. Belorusneft is supposed to start the operations on 10 January 2015.
OOO Lukoil Komi is a major mineral developer in Russia's northwest. The company owns 88 licenses on using subsurface resources and is busy developing 61 fields in the Timan-Pechora oil and gas bearing province that includes two constituent territories of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Komi and the Nenets Autonomous District. Lukoil Komi ranks second on Lukoil's list of oil and gas extracting enterprises.
In 2012 specialists of the Belarusian Oil Research and Design Institute (BelNIPIneft), which is the scientific division of the industrial group Belorusneft, carried out a complex analysis of two Ural fields of the Russian company Lukoil Perm and formulated their proposals regarding modern methods to improve oil recovery in the Pavlovskoye and Padunskoye oil fields.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
