24.02.2016
The Czech producer of power equipment Mavel is interested in further participation in the construction of hydroelectric power plants (HPP) in Belarus. The matter was discussed during a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Czech Republic Valery Kurdyukov and member of the Board and Director of Research and Development at Mavel Jan Sip, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties praised successful cooperation between the Czech company and Belarus during the construction of the hydroelectric power plants in Grodno and Polotsk. “The Czech company voiced its interest in implementing similar projects in the future, including setting up operating organizations in Belarus in cooperation with European and U.S. partners,” the press service noted.

Mavel also considers possible organization of on-the-job training for Belarusian specialists for joint work on the projects within the Eurasian Economic Union.

Belarus, in turn, suggests a wider use of the potential in implementing bilateral projects in interregional cooperation.
