16.12.2013
Ecuador is interested in the Belarusian experience in the energy sector modernization, Ecuador Vice President Jorge Glas Espinel said as he met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on 16 December, BelTA has learnt.

“This morning we started our program with a meeting of the working group on energy. We got familiar with your effort to upgrade this important industry. This theme is very important for us because we are going to implement very big industrialization plans, and the key to success is energy,” said the Vice President of Ecuador.

Ecuador Vice President Jorge Glas Espinel noted that Ecuador has great hydropower potential. There are plans to build about eight hydroelectric power plants and potentially get most of the electricity from hydroelectric power plants.
