IEC GA in Minsk to highlight energy use for enhancing living standards

Global Head of Marketing Communications at the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Gabriela Ehrlich will pay a visit to Minsk on 30 March-2 April, BelTA learnt from the press service of the State Standardization Committee.
Gabriela Ehrlich will hold a number of business meetings to talk over the preparations for the 79th General Assembly of the International Electrotechnical Commission. “The parties will discuss the program of the forum and its main themes – Rational use of energy for enhancing living standards and Uniform requirements and conformity assessment as key conditions of international trade. Special attention will be attached to issues such as communication and marketing activities,” the press service said.
Minsk will host the General Assembly of the IEC, the world’s biggest business forum in electric, electronic and allied technologies, for the first time in its history.
The meeting will take place on 5-16 October 2015.
The IEC comprises 164 member states, including Belarus. The IEC General Assembly is usually held in the countries with a well-developed high-technology industry as well as in the promising regions. “Such status business forums serve as an efficient platform to share ideas, experience, technologies, development of joint programs, consultations and talks on the implementation of investment projects,” the press service of the State Standardization Committee said.
