Italian investors to present Neman HPP construction project in Minsk

Representatives of Italian companies Finest, PVB Group and Energy T.I.EST will present an investment project to construct a hydro power plant at the Neman River in Grodno Oblast on 22 April, BelTA learnt from spokesman for the State Science and technology Committee Yuri Lukashevich.
According to the preliminary data, the total investment is likely to reach €110 million. Partaking in the presentation will be head of the investment company Finest Eros Goy, CEO of PVB Power Bulgaria Plamen Dilkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENERGY T.I.EST Antonio Sorbara. Attending the event on Belarus’ behalf will be heads of the State Science and Technology Committee, the Energy Ministry, the Grodno Oblast executive Committee and other stakeholders.
Earlier at a meeting with Chairman of the State Committee on science and Technology Igor Voitov and Deputy Energy Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk, CEO of PVB Power Bulgaria Plamen Dilkov announced the company’s intention to build several hydroelectric power stations in Belarus, on its largest rivers - the Dnieper, Western Dvina, and the Neman. According to the Italian experts, using innovative technologies, stations on such rivers can generate up to 1000MW.
PVB is an integrated group of companies operating in the oil sector, renewable energy, industrial design, etc. The company has €1 billion in the authorized fund and more than €2 billion in assets. The Italian company is currently implementing approximately 30 projects in energy: 14 in Bulgaria, 7 in Romania and 7 in Italy.
