The chronicle of the Belarusian state was written with a direct involvement of BelTA’s journalists, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in his greetings to the Belarusian News Agency (BelTA) which celebrates the 95th anniversary, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
“Over its long history the agency has been renamed several times. Its mission, however, has always been the same, i.e. to provide true and reliable information on all the developments in the country and worldwide. Therefore, it can be said without exaggeration that the chronicle of the Belarusian state was written with the direct involvement of BelTA’s journalists,” the head of state said.
“Today, BelTA as the largest and authoritative source of the latest information about Belarus is an integral part of the global media system, which advances a positive image of our state abroad. BelTA’s materials make a basis of the country’s information space, serve as a guidemark for Belarusian journalists, and foster the development of the civil society,” the message of greetings runs.
