In 2014 OAO Mozyr Oil Refinery processed more than 12 million tonnes of oil, which was a record high for the refiner founded in 1994, BelTA learned from the press center of Mozyr Oil Refinery.
Last year saw many landmark achievements in the development of the company. Its crude oil processing index reached 72% and the yield of light-oil products increased to 60%. That was one of the best results among similar companies in the CIS. In 2014 Mozyr Oil Refinery stopped producing low-octane fuels Normal 80 and diesel fuel of the Euro 4 standard. Today it manufactures high-octane fuels АИ-92 and АИ-95, and also diesel fuel of the K5 environmental grade that meets the Euro 5 standard.
With its high-quality oil products Mozyr Oil Refinery competes successfully in the markets of the EU and CIS countries. The company has managed to achieve this high level of quality thanks to continuous modernization of the production facilities. In 2010-2014 Mozyr Oil Refinery implemented eight large-scale investment projects, for example, to build a new benzene hydrodesulfurization unit, a hydrogen generation unit, and a diesel hydrotreater. More than $800 million was allocated for these purposes.
In a few days Mozyr Oil Refinery will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its operation. The company produced the first barrel of fuel on 30 January 1975.
