Naftan to finish modernization by late 2016, Mozyr Oil Refinery – by late 2017

OAO Naftan will finish modernization by the end of 2016, Mozyr Oil Refinery – by the end of 2017, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko told reporters on 31 July, BelTA has learned.

On 31 July Vladimir Semashko takes part in the session to discuss the implementation of investment programs and the performance of Belneftekhim Concern in H1 2015.

When commenting on the completion date of modernization at Naftan and Mozyr Oil Refinery, Vladimir Semashko remarked: “The scheme has been determined, these are the deadlines. They cannot be protracted and will be definitely fulfilled.”

The vice premier said that the two enterprises implement serious programs. They are expected to help the plants increase the refining output and launch the manufacture of goods with a higher added value.

Speaking about Belneftekhim, Vladimir Semashko praised the performance of the concern in H1 2015. “I should say that Belneftekhim does better than the manufacturing sector,” he noted. Belneftekhim’s industrial production index made up 101.6% in H1 2015 in comparison with H1 2014. By the end of the year this index should reach 103%, the vice premier added.
