An exercise will take place at the Belarusian nuclear power plant
on 3-4 October, the Information and Public Relations Department of
the state enterprise Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant told BelTA.
The actual fulfillment of the action plan meant to protect the personnel in an emergency will be practiced over the course of two days. Responses to natural and man-caused emergencies will be practiced during the exercise.
The Belarusian nuclear power plant is being built using the Russian standard Generation III+ design AES-2006 near Ostrovets, Grodno Oblast. The first power-generating unit is scheduled for commissioning in 2019, with the second one to go online in 2020.
