By 2017 Minsk is set to commission six electric substations, both new ones and upgraded, BelTA learned from Yelena Klimovich, deputy project manager at RIKO Minsk office.
"Minsk is planning to implement six projects, including the construction of the substation Staroborisovskaya, which are estimated at a total of €115-117 million,” said Yelena Klimovich. The Slovenian company RIKO is carrying out these projects on a turnkey basis. "This will be the integrated delivery of the substations fitted with the European equipment," she explained.
The 110kV electric substations Kamennaya Gorka and Brestskaya were into operation this week. The construction was financed with the loans from a German Bank and own resources of the Minskenergo energy company. "These are new-generation energy facilities. The most advanced methods and technologies were used in their construction," said Energy Minister of Belarus Vladimir Potupchik said when opening the facilities. The minister stated that the commissioning of the new energy-generating facilities was the result of the joint well-coordinated work of Belarusian energy experts and RIKO specialists. He said that the company has already built the energy-generating facilities in Minsk (Dolginovskaya and Grushevskaya substations) and proved a reliable partner.
RIKO supplies equipment for various industries and turnkey projects. Its technological solutions and equipment are used in more than 30 countries.
