Rosatom head: Cutting-edge nuclear industry technologies can work for over 100 years

The new generation of steel and technological solutions inspires belief that today’s nuclear industry technologies can work for over 100 years. The fact was emphasized by Sergei Kiriyenko, Director General of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom, during the 7th international forum Atomexpo 2015 in Moscow on 2 June, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Kiriyenko noted that nuclear energy industry exists in 30 countries. The executive stressed that more and more developing nations decide in favor of developing peaceful uses of nuclear energy as a guarantee of their steady social and economic development.

“Today nuclear industry means the global market. Working on the market requires experience, consideration of peculiarities of every country, and cross-cultural cooperation. Nuclear industry is penetrated by technological and scientific ties, commercial and human contacts. Everyone relating to nuclear energy industry should recognize the need to build long-term relations that will last longer than a human life or someone’s political campaign,” added the Rosatom head.
