Rosatom to hold international expo, conference AtomEco 2015 in November

The 8th international expo and conference AtomEco 2015 will take place in the World Trade Center in Moscow on 9-11 November 2015, BelTA learned from OOO Atomexpo’s Press Secretary Svetlana Bendas. The event will be organized by the Russian state corporation Rosatom.

The forum will focus on discussing the complex implementation of programs meant to deal with the nuclear legacy and on presenting results of the first federal program on ensuring nuclear and radiation safety in 2008 and for the period till 2015. Apart from that, AtomEco 2015 participants will discuss prospects and plans regarding the accomplishment of new goals in the field of nuclear and radiation safety. The necessary conditions for international manufacturing cooperation and the participation of foreign companies in the implementation of the second federal program on nuclear and radiation safety in 2016 and till 2030 will be discussed as well.

As part of the forum a plenary session will be held as well as panel sessions and roundtable sessions. Close attention will be paid to understanding the goals, tasks, and ways to ensure environmentally friendly nuclear power engineering. The plenary session will focus on the complex implementation of programs for dealing with the nuclear legacy as an effective boost to the development of the nuclear industry.

For the first time in Russia AtomEco 2015 will feature an international conference, which participants will discuss strategies, practices, and challenges concerning the decommissioning of nuclear installations. The conference will be organized by the Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development with Rosatom’s assistance.

In the exhibition area Russian and foreign companies will present state-of-the-art technologies and equipment meant to reduce the harmful impact on the environment, including during the processing of industrial waste and the handling of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel.

The forum will gather representatives of international organizations, federal and regional government agencies of the Russian Federation, heads of internationally recognized nuclear industry companies, international and Russian representatives of the scientific community, expert and business communities that are part of the nuclear industry, representatives of the state corporation Rosatom and its enterprises.

The international expo and conference AtomEco 2015 will allow its participants to expand scientific and business ties, demonstrate their products and services before the Russian and international business communities.
