The Russian company Atomproekt has presented technological and design solutions for building the nuclear and turbine islands of the Belarusian nuclear power plant during Atomexpo Belarus in Minsk, representatives of the company told BelTA.
As part of the forum’s business program Atomproekt presented the technology for the one-step installation of metal components of the dome of the internal protective shell. The technology is supposed to be used to build the power-generating units of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. Atomproekt specialists have calculated the effectiveness and safety of the technology during installation operations. The technology has already been used to lift and install domes of the third and fourth units of the Tianwan nuclear power plant in China.
Atomproekt representatives also presented justifying calculations and optimization of design solutions for building the turbine island of the Belarusian nuclear power plant in comparison with the second Leningrad nuclear power plant.
The joint-stock company Atomproekt is part of the ASE group of companies. The company specializes in the integrated design of nuclear industry installations, research and development of nuclear energy technologies.
The eighth international expo and conference Atomexpo Belarus is scheduled to take place at the exhibition center BelExpo in Minsk on 19-21 April. The event has been arranged upon the initiative of the Belarusian Energy Ministry with assistance of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom.
