Summer school in Russian nuclear research center for Belarusian scientists

For the first time ever young scientists from the Belarusian State Technological University will go to a summer school in the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Moscow Oblast, Russia, BelTA learned from Professor Alexander Tsyganov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, First Prorector of the Belarusian State Technological University, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The young scientists will spend two months getting familiar with research activities of the Russian nuclear research institute, with cutting-edge accomplishments in the area of particle physics and high energy physics, and with unique experimental physics equipment — particle accelerators and powerful computers — as part of cooperation in the area of information technologies. In addition to sharing their scientific research experience the young scientists will be able to make friends and establish connections with their Russian counterparts. It will be useful for their future work, noted Alexander Tsyganov.

Speaking about international projects, the official also mentioned two projects of the Russian institute, which had become part of programs of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Those are projects in the area of green energy and composite materials. Once the programs are approved, their financing is expected to begin in 2018.
