40 people awarded for contribution to construction of Belarusian nuclear power plant

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a decree and an executive order to award orders, medals, and presidential thanks in recognition of fruitful work, high professionalism, a significant contribution to the implementation of the investment project for building the Belarusian nuclear power plant, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia (in 2018-2022) Vladimir Semashko has been awarded an Order of Fatherland, 2nd class.

Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich has been awarded an Order of Fatherland, 3rd class.

An Order of Labor Glory has been bestowed upon an aide for interaction with the Belarusian state power engineering industrial group Belenergo, the Energy Ministry, and other government agencies to the director general of the state enterprise Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant Mikhail Filimonov.

Orders of Honor have been bestowed upon First Deputy Director General, Chief Engineer of the state enterprise Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant Anatoly Bondar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Boris Gryzlov, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Executive Office of the President of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko, and Director General of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev.

Orders of Honor have been bestowed upon First Deputy Director General for the Development of New Nuclear Energy Products of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom Alexander Lokshin, Vice President, director of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant construction project of Atomstroyexport Company Vitaly Polyanin, and First Deputy Director General for Nuclear Energy of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom, President of Atomstroyexport Company Andrey Petrov.

As many as 20 people have been awarded Medals for Labor Merits. Those include Director General of OAO Belelektromontazhnaladka Sergei Alekhnovich, Director General of the Belarusian state power engineering industrial group Belenergo Pavel Drozd, Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry (Gosatomnadzor) Olga Lugovskaya, Director General of the state enterprise Belenergostroy - Holding Management Company Andrei Reut.

Presidential thanks have been bestowed upon ten people. Those include Deputy Emergencies Minister Anatoly Dolgolevets, First Vice President for Construction of Atomstroyexport Company Alexey Zhukov, Director General of the state scientific institution Joint Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research – Sosny of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Andrei Kuzmin.
