Bangladesh exploring Belarus' experience in NPP construction

MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – A delegation from Bangladesh is in Belarus on a visit from 21 to 22 March to study the country's experience in the construction of the nuclear power plant, BelTA learned from the Energy Ministry's press service.

The delegation visited the BelNPP construction site on 21 March to learn more about the progress in the implementation of the construction project.

The guests are scheduled to hold a meeting with Belarusian Deputy Energy Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk in the Energy Ministry on 22 March. The Belarusian colleagues are expected to demonstrate their experience in setting in motion the project to build the first Belarusian nuclear power plant. The sides will exchange information on the launch of national nuclear energy programs.

In 2013, the Belarusian Energy Ministry and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
