MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Belarus is hosting the IAEA International Physical Protection Advisory Service (IPPAS) team, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.
“The IPPAS experts have arrived at the Belarusian nuclear power plant. In the course of two days, they will study the physical protection system of the Belarusian nuclear power plant and visit the plant's facilities,” the press service noted.
The IPPAS mission will focus on several key aspects: the national practices of ensuring the security of nuclear materials and nuclear installations, the security of nuclear materials during their transportation, information and computer security.
The mission includes experts from Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United States.
