Belarus open to Lithuania about Ostrovets nuclear station

Belarus is open to Lithuania in all the matters relating to the construction of the Ostrovets nuclear power plant. The statement was made by Lithuania Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius after meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Mikhail Myasnikovich on 18 April. Mikhail Myasnikovich was in Lithuania to take part in the ninth Lithuanian-Belarusian economic forum.
The Lithuania Prime Minister said: “In the near future we will get all the answers to our questions about the environmental impact of the nuclear power plant”. In his words, the Belarusian side is open in all the matters Lithuania is interested in. Belarus has started tight cooperation with international energy institutions, said the head of the Lithuanian cabinet of ministers.
