MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Belarusian nuclear power plant radiation monitoring data is now available online, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.
According to the source, readings concerning background radiation in the area of the Belarusian nuclear power plant are now available on the nuclear power plant's website. Radiation measurements are taken at the nuclear power plant itself and at various radiation control posts in the observation area. It became possible thanks to the deployment of an automated radiation monitoring system.
Current gamma-ray radiation levels are also shown on information displays located in the populated localities Voronyany, Podoltsy, Rymdyuny, Goza, Chekhi, Markuny, Chernishki, Olkhovka, and Svir.
The Belarusian nuclear power plant regularly shares background radiation data with government agencies concerned.
