Belarusian nuclear power plant’s second unit’s physical launch still in progress

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – The physical launch stage of the second unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant still continues, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.

The physical launch of the nuclear power plant unit involves a lot of work and is still going on. The work program provides for a broad range of various tests of the plant and equipment. The key task is to verify the operating capacity of all the equipment of the unit and make sure it will work safely. Specialists have yet to do a lot of work, the press service said.

Previously the news agency Prime quoted Director General of the Russian state corporation Rosatom Aleksei Likhachev as saying that the physical launch of the second unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant had been completed.
