MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – Construction teams composed of university students are employed to beautify facilities of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, the press service of the Energy Ministry told BelTA.

Students from Polotsk State University, Belarusian State University of Transport, and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno are busy working at the nuclear power plant this summer. The student teams take care of subsidiary work, painting, cleaning and beautification of administrative and auxiliary premises of the nuclear power plant.

The Energy Ministry believes it is a good opportunity for the guys and girls to improve their occupational skills and learn more about the country's largest project – the Belarusian nuclear power plant. As many as 36 construction companies have participated in building the nuclear power plant. About 9,000 Belarusian and Russian construction workers were employed at the construction site at the height of the construction work. To see the nuclear power plant up close and personal was the key bonus for many participants of the student work team movement.

In addition to working during the day the students participate in sport events and cultural events.
