When answering on the question of a representative of the Lithuanian public regarding the quality of the construction, the Belarusian official stated that the general contractor and the general customer apply a special automated system of quality control which envisages a strict observance of the whole technological regulation and makes it impossible to advance to a new stage of construction and equipment installation without the implementation and confirmation of quality parameters related to the previous stage. Besides, representatives of Gosstroynadzor, Gosatomnadzor and other supervisory authorities are permanently present at the construction site to monitor the work of the general contractor and the general customer. Monthly meetings are held under the chairmanship of the Vice Premier at the construction site. A special ministerial group on NPP construction also meets on a monthly basis to discuss the issues related to the quality of works and control over them.
