Plans to test safeguards of steam generator of Belarusian nuclear power plant's second unit

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Dynamic trials of the second unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant will be arranged as part of the second unit's reactor power startup program. The trials will involve the testing of safety devices of the steam generator, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.

These operations will be accompanied with steam release into the atmosphere and noise. The steam is clean and safe, the Energy Ministry noted.

Once the trials are over, work to increase the second unit's reactor's output will continue.
