Steam generators of first unit of Belarusian nuclear power plant now in position

All the steam generators the first power-generating unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant will need have been installed, BelTA learned from representatives of the Information and Public Relations Department of the state enterprise Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.

Four generators intended for the first power-generating unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant have been installed into their designated positions inside the reactor’s building.

Each steam generator weighs 330 tonnes. Each of them had to be lifted onto the transport ramp extension and delivered via the gateway inside the reactor building where it had to be installed into the designated position using a polar crane.

Preparations are now in progress to start welding the main circulation line.
