MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – The study of neutronic characteristics of the reactor core of the first unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP) will begin on 10 June, BelTA learned from the Energy Ministry.
The testing of systems and equipment continues at the second unit of the power plant as part of the pilot commercial operation program.
“Having reached minimum controlled power, the reactor will undergo a serious of experiments on the neutronic characteristics starting from 10 June. The unit will be disconnected from the power grid,” the ministry informed.
