Turbine generator stator delivered to Belarusian nuclear power plant

The stator for the turbine generator for the first power-generating unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has been delivered to the construction site, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.
The stator for the turbine generator is a steel cylinder-like structure that weighs 440 tonnes. A special railway transporter was used to deliver the structure to the construction site.
The rotor of the turbine generator was delivered to the construction site before. The turbine generator weighs a total of 540 tonnes, with the output capacity of 1,200MW.
The equipment was made by OAO Power Machines, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The Belarusian nuclear power plant is a project to build a VVER-1200 type nuclear power plant 18km away from Ostrovets, Grodno Oblast. The BelNPP will have two power-generating units with the total output capacity of up to 2,400MW (2x1,200MW).
