NPP share in Russia’s electricity generation may reach 23% by 2030

The share of nuclear power plants in Russia’s overall electricity generation will reach 18-19% by 2020 and 22-23% by 2030 while in 2011 it stood at 16.8%, reads a long-term forecast of Russia’s social and economic development till 2030 as quoted by Russian mass media. The figures are specified by the innovation-driven development scenario.

A conservative scenario says that the share of nuclear power plants will reach 19% in 2020 and 23.3% in 2030.
