Belarus president: We will get another if the dropped reactor vessel has suffered any damage
The President remarked he had seen the footage of the accident and had given instructions to sort it out right away. “Even if the reactor vessel has suffered the slightest bit of damage, we should get rid of it. And Russians say that if we reject this one, they will bring another. And that’s the end of the story,” noted the head of state.

Lithuanian specialists invited to continue consultations on Belarusian nuclear power plant in July
The Belarusian nuclear power plant is a project to build an AES-2006 type nuclear power plant 18km away from Ostrovets, Grodno Oblast. The BelNPP will have two power-generating units with the total output capacity of up to 2,400MW (2x1,200MW).

Representatives of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry told BelTA that during the bilateral consultations the sides intend to talk over a number of matters. The number includes the evaluation of the location of the construction site and the reasons behind it, the evaluation of the seismic safety of the Ostrovets site and alternative locations.

Russian ZiO-Podolsk ships equipment to Belarusian nuclear power plant

The Belarusian customer will get two second-stage condensate drums for a moisture separator-reheater (SPP-1200). The condensate drums are horizontal devices that weigh 15.6 tonnes, are about 5m in length and 1.7m in diameter. The condensate drums are a sophisticated piece of equipment.

No incidents at construction site of Belarusian nuclear power plant
The Energy Ministry website reads: “In view of this the state enterprise Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant would like to report that the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant proceeds on schedule. No incidents happened in the course of construction and installation work in the specified period.”
