Plasma Physics and Plasma Technology international conference opens in Minsk
The list of participants includes representatives of Lithuania, Turkey, the United States, France, the Netherlands, India, Iran, Ukraine, and other countries. Members of the National Academies of Sciences of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan were elected to co-chair the conference. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladmir Gusakov pointed out that the Russian delegation is the largest at the conference, which is no surprise.

American experts highly recommend Belarusian web developers
According to the information and analysis agency Clutch, the top Belarusian developers of web and software products include 12 companies that reside in the Hi-Tech Park of Belarus: Itransition, EffectiveSoft, Artezio, Qulix Systems, Belitsoft, SoftTeco, GP software.travel, R-Style Lab, *instinctools, Intetics, CactusSoft and SumaSoft (Soft-Perspektiva). The survey also mentions the good potential of another nine companies, including HTP residents XB Software and Brimit.

Belarus’ progress in building green economy hailed
"The hardest thing, as it has turned out, is to convince business entities that it is important to switch to the “green economy” principles, that it meets the needs of society and provides long-term benefits, although it does not fit into the logic of economic benefits. Ultimately, the economy that does not take environmental aspects into account becomes cost-ineffective,” the Ambassador said.

Investigation committees of Belarus, Russia working on genome-based personal identification
According to the source, as part of the program methods to ascertain the geographical origin of the suspect using the suspect’s genotype will be developed and assimilated. “We are busy filling up the database that contains genotype data. It will come in handy for determining where the suspect comes from, the suspect’s race and some other peculiarities of the territory,” explained the official.

More legislative effort for Belarusian biotech cluster Belbiograd in order
In 2013 the Belarusian Economy Ministry did preparatory work to create the national technological cluster Belbiograd. A government conference was held in October 2013. It was decided that upon the initiative of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus the Academy will take care of consequent efforts to create Belbiograd.

According to Igor Karavayev, Skolkovo Foundation gave a start to 1,150 startups from around the world. In order to become a Skolkovo participant, an innovative enterprise does not have to deploy a production facility in Russia. It is sufficient to apply through the Skolkovo official website.
