Consistency lacking in equal terms on Single Economic Space energy market

The movement towards equal terms and the common market of energy resources of the Single Economic Space of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia should be more consistent. The opinion was voiced by Alexander Yershov, expert of Thomson Reuters Company, at the 6th international conference arranged by Confidence Capital Company with assistance of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim in Minsk on 8 April to discuss oil processing and the export of Belarusian oil products, BelTA has learned.

Russian-Belarusian solution for emergency reactor cooldown

Russian and Belarusian scientists have come up with a way to cool down nuclear reactors fast in an emergency. The information was released by Mr Vasily Fomin, Deputy President of the Siberian Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN), at the Novosibirsk session of the permanent seminar opened under the aegis of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia to focus on scientific cooperation between the two countries, BelTA has learned.

Simulators to practice safe operation of nuclear installations in Belarusian universities

Computer simulators have been installed in the Belarusian State University (BSU) and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) to practice reactor physics, control and safe operation of nuclear power installations. Professors and specialists have been trained in the safe operation of nuclear installations, representatives of the Belarusian Education Ministry told BelTA.
