Belarus submits EIA report to Lithuania
Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Yelena Kupchina has submitted the final report on the Environmental Impact Assessment of the future Belarusian nuclear power plant during her visit to Vilnius on 12-13 June. The report was compiled by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Agreement on synching power grids of Belarus, Russia, Baltic states may be signed this summer
The Minister reminded that the draft agreement had been discussed for a year already. In his words, the sides have agreed that a country will have to warn its partners at least 10 years in advance in order to leave the synchronous operation mode. The Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member countries advocate the strengthening of multilateral mechanisms for disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control, the statement reads. The Ministers also endorse the establishment of the Central Asian Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone. In addition, they look forward to substantive progress in the matter of signing of the Protocol to the Central Asian Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone by all members of the nuclear five.
