Belarusian nuclear power plant makes part of Belenergo
The Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP) was incorporated into the Belarusian national electric company Belenergo on 1 January 2020. This decision will allow pursuing a uniform technical policy in electricity generation.

Two monitoring systems keep eye on radiation levels near Belarusian nuclear power plant
Maria Germenchuk noted that a multilayer protection system had been created in anticipation of the launch of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. The first layer provides for nuclear safety of the nuclear power plant itself. The second one takes care of radiation safety at the industrial site.

Energy Ministry eager to commission second unit of Belarusian nuclear power plant in 2021
According to the source, there are plans to deliver nuclear fuel to the construction site in 2020 in addition to the physical launch and the power startup of the first unit of the nuclear power plant. The unit will then be connected to the power grid.

Belarusian nuclear power plant to get fuel in Q1 2020
The official said: “You know, the delivery of nuclear fuel is not a panacea. We are virtually ready to receive it. We will bring it 1-1.5 months ahead of the physical launch to avoid the slowdown of work on the first unit. We will have nuclear fuel delivered in the first quarter of the year.”

ASE Company Vice President Vitaly Polyanin said hot trials are a technological process that imitates the operation of a live reactor. Only fuel rod array imitators are placed inside the reactor instead of genuine fuel.

Swedish turbines to help integrate BelNPP into national power grid of Belarus
Belarus will use Swedish turbines to integrate the nuclear power plant into the national power grid. The appropriate Belarusian-Swedish contract was signed in Finspang, Sweden on 27 November.
