Pipelines and equipment of the primary circuit have been successfully tested for durability and density by means of hydraulic tests. BelNPP to generate third of country’s electricity
The Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BelNPP) will generate one third of the country’s needs in electric power, Belarus’ Deputy Energy Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk said as he spoke at the plenary session of the 63rd session of the IAEA General Conference on 16 September, BelTA has learned.

Belarus open to contacts with European Commission on nuclear power plant stress tests action plan
Belarus is open to contacts with the European Commission in the course of implementing the national plan of action in the wake of stress tests of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. The statement was made by Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry (Gosatomnadzor) Olga Lugovskaya as she met with Acting Deputy Director General for Nuclear Energy, Safety and ITER of the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission Massimo Garribba in Vienna on 17 September, BelTA has learned.

First unit of Belarusian nuclear power plant gets water treatment plant
The availability of partially desalted and chemically demineralized water is a necessary condition for cleansing the systems after installation, for startup and commissioning operations, and for starting hydraulic testing of the pipes and equipment of the primary and secondary circuits of the unit, BelTA learned from Vitaly Polyanin, ASE Company Vice President and supervisor of the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction project.
