Belarusian scientists help process Large Hadron Collider data
A group of Belarusian scientists processes the data generated by the Large Hadron Collider and the detector in the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN), BelTA learned from Yuri Kurochkin, Chairman of the Belarusian Physics Society, Head of the Theoretical Physics Lab of the B.I. Stepanov Physics Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The information was released during the international symposium on processes and structures regarding subatomic particles, nuclei, atoms, and the university. The symposium was held on 10 March to mark the 100th anniversary since the birthday of academician Yakob Zeldovich.

Belarus develops novel device to treat wounds and ulcers
The Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) jointly with the country’s leading healthcare institutions have come up with a new technology to treat septic wounds, trophic ulcers and other diseases, BelTA learnt from Deputy Director for Innovations and Research of the Stepanov Institute of Physics Vitaly Plavsky.

French equipment to speed up Minsk metro construction
The French company CSM Bessac will supply innovative equipment worth about €11.5 million for the sake of building the third Minsk metro line, BelTA learned from Alexander Kudelko, head of the Minsk metro construction company Minskmetrostroy, on 7 March after the Belarusian and French companies signed the contract for delivering a tunnel-boring complex with peripheral equipment.

Huawei’s smart transport system for Minsk

Union State technologies to produce medicines, food from human lactoferrin
Technologies which make it possible to get medicines and foodstuffs from human lactoferrin have been developed in line with the Union State program BelRusTransgen-2. The statement was made during the session of the board of the supreme financial control bodies of Belarus and Russia, which is underway in Minsk, BelTA has learnt.

Belarusian university accelerates stem cell growth
Biophysicists of the Physics Faculty of the Belarusian State University (BSU) in association with physiologists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have worked out and built a device able to accelerate the conversion of stem cells into neurons, the University’s press service told BelTA.

ZTE investments for Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park
The Chinese corporation ZTE is ready to invest in manufacturing enterprises created in association with Belarus in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. The statement was made by ZTE Corporation Senior Vice President, head of the global financial center Shao Weiling as he met with Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich on 3 March, BelTA has learned.

Lukashenko wants HTP to join international finance center project
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has suggested that the Hi-Tech Park (HTP) get involved in the development of the international finance center in Minsk. The task was set as Alexander Lukashenko received Director of the Hi-Tech Park administration Valery Tsepkalo on 4 March, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
